... Peaceful. Well, usually. When Chaos Spirits aren't being unleashed, or swarms of creatures who feed on love invading, or ancient empires resurfacing whose former rulers have been transformed into shadowy beings bent on revenge.

But those kinds of things don't happen too often. Usually, it's pretty tranquil. Everyone goes about their lives safe and sound, free to follow their aspirations and use their talents whatever way they feel is best.
