It was definitely long enough for it. He was also lounging back on a bed with a blank wall behind him, his charmander dozing on his chest]

So. How many of you have had a moment where you're sitting there going 'when the hell did I become the smart one?'

I mean, I've never been stupid, but things have been ridiculous lately.

Most of the ones I've dealt with have just been flat-out morons. People who think they know best when they don't, people who try to throw off the order of things when they have no clue why that order is there. Things like that.

Unfortuntely if I understand her right back home she actually has rank on me. I told her she doesn't here because that was flamingly stupid so...

But! Other than that it's not been too bad. Just... people doing more of that mostly.

That's just it. I don't even know the state of one person, but the fact that no one had a clue who she is? And that one person is a medic who should have had direct contact with her? ...Yeah.

I know I died in a war. [He touched a hand to his chest.] An enemy set an avalanche on me. My sensei apparently died all heroically too within a year of me, him and his wife both. I met their son, he said they died the day he was born.
