[He was sitting on the roof, having had some issues getting up there due to interfering pokemon, but he'd managed, and he was holding the gear so pretty much all he saw behind him was open sky.]

So. No one gets sent a pokemon that's as powerful as it can get without special training unless they've vanished. I checked, and they did, indeed vanish. So this makes two people who vanished this month and another one I've been unable to contact.

[He gave hie eyes a quick scrub, then yanked his goggles back into place, his forehead mark currently just a strop of the cloth. No need to totally give up caution.]

I want everyone to know that this month was pretty crappy, and I really don't approve. Just so we're clear.

[A sigh left him at that, and he ran his good hand through his hair.]

I know. Just... It needs to be done. For more reasons now even. [He sighed and dropped his forehead to his knees.]

[He's a little tense now, frowning at Obito critically. What does he mean by 'more reasons'? Maybe it had to do with his defection but... He has to know.]

Yep. I'll tell you when we get there. That means we actually gotta talk TO there though. [He shook his head and looked over at him, giving him a lopsided smile.]

[Obito looked him in the eye.] Something I found out, and it makes sense with everything you told me.

If you can tell me what happened the night everyone died for you, calmly, and without lapsing into any kind of upset, I'll tell you. Otherwise you get to wait.

... No. I've always known our clan as living on the Uchiha Compound.

No such thing. We were a fully integrated family in my memory Sasuke. Part of the village. Sure, there was a head house and a few near it, but not everyone by any stretch. Just like the Senju were when they were a bigger clan still before they dwindled.

[He watched him for a moment.]

But thank you for telling me that changed, it really... it makes sense, then, that things happened. You have all the pieces now to figure this out on your own Sasuke, you're just not looking.

[He turned in place, tightening his arm around him before looking back out at the clouds.]

[He gave his head a hard shake and put his chin back on his knees.] I'd love to tell you, when you're ready, but you're not, okay? I'm sorry.

[For a few long moment's he's quiet. Eventually he sighs and relents however, glancing down at his own feet.]

You have to tell me when I tell you everything I can remember of that night.

[He sniffled into his knees, his free hand coming to rub at his eyes again.]

[He nodded, then hid his face in his knees after another swipe at his eyes. Yep. Crying. Enjoy that Sasuke.]

[He just frowns at him, still incredibly annoyed over the conversation but...

Hesitantly his good arm raises to start rubbing his back, and he looks out to the ocean again while he does it.]

[He quiets down after a bit, finally shifting around to just lean on his cousin, giving a last wipe to his eyes and slumping there.]
