[Obito has a rather solemn look on his face as the camera is turned on, and he has a Ditto settled on his shoulder, the pink pokemon looking decidedly miserable as it leaned against the teen's neck.]

Hey guys. So... I know you've heard me on about Rin, both my teammate, and the boy I know, in my time here. The boy being one of those silver haired ones who started off a Riku, for those who don't know.

I have the teammate here with me now, and the boy, well, he went home. Sort of.

[He lifted a tiny book between his fingers, giving a lopsided smile over the thing.] Since he claimed this was his normal body so...

I guess he gave me his body, but there's no mind inside to talk to so...

I don't really like that trade much.

[He gave a laugh and scrubbed at his face, swiping at tears before they could start and more determinedly held them back.]

I know he's not dead, but what he told me about where he was in his little nexus of home worlds means that it's not very likely he'll be back this way either.

Ah, right. One last thing. Wherever you are in town Sensei, he left me a note. I think it has to do with what we talked about.

It says "Don't forget your light. I won't."

I don't know why I would but... [He closed the little book, looking rather determined.] I'll do my best not to let him down.

And if he comes back... I hope he remembers so I can ask if that was just his way of saying he'd miss me.

But, no tears. Tears always confused and upset him so, I just wanted to put the word out to anyone from where he's from, because I know a lot of you, and I know you'd want to know.

[He's off on his own but not far outside the city limits, seeking a little quiet as he trained his team.

It would probably help if he didn't keep checking his 'gear then, but Obito is the only one he's taken a break to reply to.]

It's okay Sensei! He'll be okay! I just... It's both a relief that it's not the other way again, and kind of really upsetting at once.

[Man, what a month. Didn't bad things usually happen in threes?

...Probably better not to encourage something else to happen. Or maybe all the glitching and scrambled memories counted as the first. Hm.]

Still, it's unfortunate he's gone.

Like I said, he's not, technically. [Have him showing you the tiny book again.]

I'm not sure if this makes it better or worse though.

Better to look at it as something special to remember him by, I think.

[There was no easy way to look at things, but that didn't mean the tiny book had to become something painful to see.]

Well, I guess I'm worried because he said that this book is his body back home sensei.

So... it's a bit more than a reminder really.

....Maybe he was just put back inside his body. [He turned his gaze worriedly to the book.]

...I'm gonna be really careful with it just in case.

[He couldn't help the small huff of amusement that left him at that, though he at least tried to keep his composure after.]

Probably a good idea.

[He looked back to him, pouting.]

I thought so. Are you laughing at me sensei?

Of course not. I know you'll do a good job taking care of things.

[He blinked, then colored.]

Thanks, Sensei. I'll live up to it.

And I'm sure he'll appreciate hearing that when you see him again.

[They had to keep faith that the goodbyes they faced here weren't forever... maybe now more than ever, with so many of their precious comrades disappearing. It would be difficult, but they couldn't allow themselves to give up on each other, on being together again.]

[He rubbed at his cheeks, determined to hide the color, then looked back to that.]

You're right, I'll see him again, so I should just... settle down and stuff.

[Sensei and Dads were supposed to be cool, right? He had to be cool.]

Though I think it's okay to be upset when we lose someone- whether it's temporary or a little more permanent. [He'd certainly taken time to come to terms with the loss of Kushina and still was- and still would be, for quite some time.] Despite what the shinobi rules would tell you.

[Well, Obito definitely thought so, so you were doing something right there Sensei.]

As long as you don't let it eat you, right sensei? That would be terrible.

Mmn. Even if it's difficult... life still continues on, and things do get better, easier.

You shouldn't allow yourself to be held back by the things you can't change.

Right. I'll do my best, okay? [He nodded, then sighed before giving him a small smile.]
