I spoke with Naruto on the matter when he awoke. [He doesn't know what Naruto did after...but it won't surprise him if Naruto were impulsive and ignored him. Naruto is always impulsive, and being fresh from the battlefield would...amplify that.] As I said, it would be better for you to travel with myself and Tenten--who doesn't and won't know of your part--than to remain here for the moment. Time to reflect will serve your relationships best for the long term.

I have no intention of telling Tenten anything about anything, don't worry. We're not close enough that I feel I owe it to her anyway. [He gave a rough sigh and brought his hands up, scrubbing at his face]

I make a mess of everything though Neji, you sure you want me along?

[It was less of a warning than a reassurance, but he nods in acknowledgment anyway. If he is inclined in the future to share the information, then the warning has already been delivered.

He shakes his head.] There was a time where I was not so different. You'll find it's much easier to clean up those messes if you are not alone.

Well, apparently everyone I get close to vanishes, dies, or both, so I'm not sure it's such a good idea anyway.

[He looked over his hands, tone flat.]

And don't say you already died, that doesn't get rid of the other options.

Tenten will hardly care one way or the other, given she focuses much of her time on training and gym battles. Unless you plan to interfere with her battle?

Hey Neji? I know you haven't told her about you. How do you think she's taking it back when you're from? Or your other teammate?

...They were amidst a war. However they dealt with it, I trust they dealt with it competently, and supported Naruto in his efforts to destroy the ten tails and the...plan.

Actually, I found out some things yesterday. [His tone was very soft, and he tightened his hold around his legs.]

[Neji, you are saying reassuring and touching things. You have to remember this guy dealt first with Kakashi, then got really attached to a computer program. You're in good company.
