First Kunai: [Video]

[The first thing that everyone hears as the connection turns on is a rather loud, painful sounding clatter which indicated that the Pokédex had just made a rather abrupt acquaintance with the ground.]

Ah crap. Sorry! Sorry everyone! [The picture resolves itself at this point into a rather sheepish looking teenager, who is turning the device this way and that, clearly trying to determine which way was up.] I'm kinda new here and haven't gotten used to all the new technical stuff that this place seems to have. This thing is pretty sleek though right? Even if the road is pretty, well, snowy. And cold. But hey, I have Katon so it's not like I'll freeze!

[There was a nearly upside down showing of his Ponyta at this point before he finally settled on an angle, which thankfully seemed to be right way up as the camera focused on him again.] Anyway, I just wanted to give an all call and a hello to everyone out there and ask a rather uh, specialized question.

Only a few of you might get what I'm getting at here but, um, did anyone else seriously fail the whole climbing ledges class after getting here that I could have sworn that I'd passed when I was seven? I mean, I got down fine but... serious issues getting back up.

Like, really serious issues.

Most Flying types get big enough once they evolve. For example...

[Just gonna turn the camera on his Charizard bro, who stands taller than seven feet.]

Flare's my most reliable flier, but if you're just starting fresh, I'd recommend something like a Pidgey or a Hoothoot. Their evolved forms make for easy transport once you pick up the HM.

Well, you might be able to get a free Charmander egg from the Breeding Center if you ask. They become Charizards like Flare once they do enough fighting.

[In fact, give him a sec, and he'll hunt down his shiny Charmander, Cinder. She blinks at the camera and latches onto her tail, shivering a little. Seems someone lacks Flare's confidence.]

As for the other Pokémon I mentioned... Hoothoot's an owl and Pidgey's your standard bird. Looks kind of like a miniature hawk.

Depends on what you mean by ambushed. If you mean by Pokémon... yeah, that's kind of the norm. Same with network responses.

Although, if you want a more detailed guide, I can toss one your way. The one you start off with is bare basics at best.

Yeah, that'd be me.

[Heh. At least his Data-self cleared that up ahead of time.]

As for the guide, I'll go ahead and leave it as an attachment. If nothing else, it could be a handy reference.

[Though probably less for Breeders than hardcore battle types like Riku.

And here's the Attachment.]

Exactly. In this world, you have to adapt. And just because you're a breeder doesn't mean you can't build a tough team. Heck, my best friend's a breeder this time around, and he loves battling.

Well, as long as you don't wind up with a bunch of unruly Pokémon. Not all of them are dying to cooperate.

[He shudders.]

But at least the Pokémon around New Bark are at low levels. They're easier to deal with than something that's completely maxed out.
