[The picture resolves itself at this point into a rather sheepish looking teenager, who is turning the device this way and that, clearly trying to determine which way was up.] I'm kinda new here and haven't gotten used to all the new technical stuff that this place seems to have. This thing is pretty sleek though right? Even if the road is pretty, well, snowy. And cold. But hey, I have Katon so it's not like I'll freeze!

[There was a nearly upside down showing of his Ponyta at this point before he finally settled on an angle, which thankfully seemed to be right way up as the camera focused on him again.] Anyway, I just wanted to give an all call and a hello to everyone out there and ask a rather uh, specialized question.

Only a few of you might get what I'm getting at here but, um, did anyone else seriously fail the whole climbing ledges class after getting here that I could have sworn that I'd passed when I was seven? I mean, I got down fine but... serious issues getting back up.

I dunno, I bet you'd be totally capable of falling in love with someone. It's not always truly madly deeply love. Sometimes it's just quiet happy love.

But going by your logic, it'd be selfish of me. Existing in a tangible form like this is ephemeral after all.

[He was quiet for a moment and regarded him thoughtfully.] And I'm dead, there's no going back for me, and people here, if the slant of that survey's questions, don't always stay. Besides, being in love is wanting to do anything to make sure the person you love is happy and safe. Nothing in there says they have to love you back.

No, but I wouldn't want to burden someone with even that knowledge. And there would be a chance they'd figure it out, depending on how perceptive that person was.

But I don't think it's probable enough to be worthy of much concern.

[He shook his head slightly and made an amused noise.] Well, if you fell in love with someone like me, they wouldn't think it's a burden. Being loved, even for a little while, is totally without a match. I give love freely when I can. My teammate knew I loved her. She just didn't know what kind of love it was, that's all, which is why I'm content with how that turned out. So... don't stop yourself if it happens unless you really think they can't handle it, eh?

[He doesn't answer that at first, realizing rather abruptly what an odd, vaguely existentialist conversation they've managed to get into.

And then he can't help a small laugh]

This is a weird conversation when we just met.

[That got a sheepish grin and a little laugh of his own.]

What can I say? You're the first person I've really gotten to talk to in a long time without having to worry about something. Heh, maybe the universe set it up that way. You seemed like you could use someone to talk to too.
