Only a few of you might get what I'm getting at here but, um, did anyone else seriously fail the whole climbing ledges class after getting here that I could have sworn that I'd passed when I was seven? I mean, I got down fine but... serious issues getting back up.

That’s Ponyta, it evolves into Rapidash at 40. It takes a little bit to get them to let you ride but, it’s doable.

[He whistles and Lady B his Rapidash trots over. He gestures to her.] They’re fast, and hit hard. You got the sweetest deal ever, man. As for what they know, it’s pretty standard at first. Growl, tackle, tail whip, and ember. Ember is good as a starter fire move.

They learn flame wheel and stomp next.

Biggest tip is to use their status effect attacks when you get them. Fire spin does some damage over time. Finding someone to teach it low kick lets you knock out any ground dudes that could snuff your flames out.

I think that'll actually be really helpful. How do you find folks for that anyway? Any specific places I should go?

I'm not sure where the Low Kick teacher is. But there's usually one in every town and along some of the routes. Check near the pokemon Centers, they are way easy to spot and townies will tell you were it is. Good place to stay for free or with a little work.

To combat water types TM93 Wild Charge or TM22 Solarbeam, would be smart. The later I'd only use when their speed is as high as it can go. It takes a bit to charge.

What's a TM?

A ™ is a technical machine, sorry. Got used to the lingo and it just never stops rolling out when I talk now. Hm is a hidden machine, they’re both discs but a ™ can only be used once. You purchase them in towns once you got the cash.

Technical machines you can purchase. The hms you have to earn from fighting gym leaders. Go for the tms so you can gain hms.
