First Kunai: [Video]

[The first thing that everyone hears as the connection turns on is a rather loud, painful sounding clatter which indicated that the Pokédex had just made a rather abrupt acquaintance with the ground.]

Ah crap. Sorry! Sorry everyone! [The picture resolves itself at this point into a rather sheepish looking teenager, who is turning the device this way and that, clearly trying to determine which way was up.] I'm kinda new here and haven't gotten used to all the new technical stuff that this place seems to have. This thing is pretty sleek though right? Even if the road is pretty, well, snowy. And cold. But hey, I have Katon so it's not like I'll freeze!

[There was a nearly upside down showing of his Ponyta at this point before he finally settled on an angle, which thankfully seemed to be right way up as the camera focused on him again.] Anyway, I just wanted to give an all call and a hello to everyone out there and ask a rather uh, specialized question.

Only a few of you might get what I'm getting at here but, um, did anyone else seriously fail the whole climbing ledges class after getting here that I could have sworn that I'd passed when I was seven? I mean, I got down fine but... serious issues getting back up.

Like, really serious issues.

There's a class for climbing ledges?

I will say that the ones here are just like they were in the games, where they are only a one way street. Once you go down, you can't go back up them.

Sounds like a strange sort of class to have, but then again, it sounds a bit exciting if it's an actual class to pass!

Yes, a video game to be precise! I only played the version that has all the details of the Kanto region, but Johto has very much the same idea!

[She's so curious though since he said SHINOBI and she's heard the word from Dirk a few times..] So are you a ninja? Shinobi means ninja, right?
healium: (pretty lady)

video; obito you just got here and you're breaking rules about talking of ninja stuff to non-ninjas

No? Perhaps it's just something not made in your time yet!

[Nodding at seeing the headband, Jane smiles.] I see! Well, you have only just arrived pretty much, so it may take a little for them to see you? Trap making too.. now if only I had gone to your school instead, I may not have needed to be homeschooled!
healium: (oh you...)

Video; NO GOSH

My Dad had to teach me math, english, science and so on. [Laughing gently, she shakes her head.] My apologies for the confusion. You aren't the slightest bit uneducated, especially for not being able to climb a weirdo ledge!
healium: (my spoon can whip yo ass)

Video; SHHHHHhhhhhh

[personal profile] healium 2013-01-08 01:59 am (UTC)(link)
Hoo hoo, really, don't worry about it! You just arrived, it's all right to be confused about this place! I'm sure you can outrun me in a heartbeat, if that makes you feel better. [YOU LOOK LIKE AN ATHLETE OK]
healium: (contently)

[He'd get a hair ruffle if she were there.] Well, if you had anything extra special that gives you a strength above human, it was sealed away. Everyone here is human, whether they used to be or not.

I'll take you at your word then. So, what's your name? I'm Jane Crocker, it's lovely to meet you!
healium: (cheery)

[personal profile] healium 2013-01-08 02:23 am (UTC)(link)
Hoo hoo, I suppose I'd answer to Crocker too, if only because no one else has that last name! It seems backwards to me, so it's just a cultural difference. Oh!

[Give her a moment of shuffling and doing something on her gear, before a text with an attachment comes up.]

If you have a moment of free time and could fill out this survey, it would help in gathering data! Myself and others are trying to see if we can find a pattern in the way of people being chosen to arrive, and how they are chosen to depart.

What joke? [She's getting a copy to look at.] The Sex and then asking Gender? It's um. It's asking your physical sex, and then asking which gender you identify as!
healium: (i mustache you a question)

[YOUNG TEENAGED BOYS WHO THINK WITH THE WRONG HEAD.] Ha.. well, that's what it actually is there for, h-hoo! [Wow that almost got awkward]
healium: (what the fuck??)

[personal profile] healium 2013-01-08 02:56 am (UTC)(link)
Oh I'm just fine, don't worry a thing about me! [HA HAHA ha.] So, are you already on the road?
healium: (curious)

It is, but do be careful! It's been rather cold out, especially at night, and it takes three days to get to the next town to buy some real supplies. There's only a little bag of trail mix in your things for food.

If you insist. [She can't help a smile with the Ponyta.] Still, try not to starve.
