Second Kunai: [Video/Action Cherrygrove]

[Unlike last time he sent a message out over the network, there was no clatter. Then again, Obito was also clearly not the one holding the gear, which was rather low to the ground, the image half obscured by a bright green leaf. And there was shouting.]

Katon no! He didn't mean it! Cabbage! GUYS STOP!

[There is a dizzying moment as the gear is spun around, and the image is cleared of greenery, though it's wiggling a bit like the one holding it is laughing. Obito, holding a baby Charmander in one arm, is between his Ponyta and Deerling who look rather like they want to take a bite out of one another.]

This is way uncool! I -know- you two can get along. Is it Kiyo? [The baby charmander, who had a pretty impressive looking grip on his shirt, was lifted a little.] You were cool until Kiyo hatched Cabbage! Kinda. Okay maybe not so much, but you were learning to get on with Katon just fine!

And where's the other one..? Hyorogan! What're you doing with my gear? Wait!

[Thus, with the video still on, you finally get to see the baby Petilil as she makes a run for it with Obito's gear in hand, giggling all the way.]

[She frowned at the thought and glanced to Joonhee uncertainly.]

I was thinking about it, if Sasuke-kun would let me. We're from the same village, after all, and if there's anything ninja from our village do, it's stick together and watch out for each other. But what are you going to do...?

[Feng actually stretches his neck to poke the older man's shoulder with something that might have been a coo from a regular bird. Instead it just sounded like two pieces of metal scraping together, as usual.]

You could always ask Sora if you could bring him, couldn't you Tenten? I mean, he seems pretty cool like that.

Since you're all from the same place it does sound like a good idea for you all to stick together.

[ he smiles at Feng, is the bird showing some kind of fondness for someone not Tenten? well he'll risk his fingers and pet him lightly. ] I haven't really decided what I'm going to do.

If you guys end up having to do anything... [ he gestures. ninja-ish? ] Things like missions and such, I'll probably slow you down.

[ he doesn't quite say it but the offer to part ways when they meet up with Sasuke & co is there. he doesn't have any set goal for himself anyways other than getting used to this place. ] I'm sure I'll be fine on my own if it turns out to be the more reasonable choice.

[She's still not all too certain of Obito -- after all, from her time, the entire Uchiha clan was murdered. Meeting another one had been a shock, to say the least.

She nods slowly. Joonhee has a point, about missions, but that didn't matter too much.]

Then you don't have to go on the missions with us. [She tries for a smile.] I'd rather you came with though, Joonhee-niisan. We make a pretty good team, and look.

[She gestures to the giant bird, who's lifted his head and is regally accepting the petting.] Feng's finally started to like you. If you don't want to, you don't have to, but...

If things don't work out like that, you could always just, you know, see? Nothing is set in stone.

Well you don't know when your companion is going to contact you, so we can decide when he does depending on how the rest of them feel.

[ he is glad to have all his fingers still. he'll continue petting Feng carefully. ] Well I'm glad he's warmed up, he's more handsome when he's friendly.

[ can't call giant metal bird cute exactly... ]

Well, to be fair, you're a lot friendlier than Sasuke-kun, so what I do will probably depend on what you do, too. After all, who's going to protect you if I'm not around?

[She quirks her eyebrows at Obito to let him know that she would be talking to Sasuke and whoever Sasuke brought with, about bringing Joonhee along.]

[And she can still call a Skarmory cute...]

[Obito laughed, then turned to take his baby pokemon back over to Cabbage, trying, once more, to settle the deerling into the idea of baby creatures.]

Yeah Sasuke is grumpy but... he's got his reasons.

I'm sure I'd be fine either way but we'll just see what happens when you guys get in contact with him then.

[ he's a bit surprised that Tenten would rather stick with him than the people she's familiar with but at this point it's meaningless to discuss it any further. ]

Until then we can just keep working at the PokéCenter for now, I guess. What about you, Obito?

[In all honesty, she doesn't know Obito at all, and Sasuke she's only watched and heard rumors about.]

Yeah, we'll see.

It's not a bad job, there. Learn about taking care of these guys as well as earn some spending money. Easier than a mission, anyway. It's like... a D-rank, if that.

...What kind've D-ranks are you used to man? Most of the ones back home involved fortifications.

[ he quirks an eyebrow at that curiously. their world is sounding more and more confusing. and more and more like a comic book. ]

[She stares at Obito, mouth falling open.]

What'd you mean, fortifications? D-ranks are those boring things for rookies like, finding stray cats and getting trash out of the river, or escorting not-important people.

Is -that- the kind of stuff people get to do in peacetime? Soooo unfair! We had to build fortifications for the C-rankers to run out, or sit there and do a majillion explosive tags for the outgoing nin. Then again, I'm a chunin now so I am pretty much exclusively on C or higher. I died on a high B so...

I would way rather do stuff like that! This one time, we had to pull weeds for a--

[Back that up. This brat's a what now?!]

You're a Chuunin?!

Three years next month, yep! [Have a grin.]

I haven't gotten to do D-ranks for most of that. Lucky.

You've been a Chuunin for how long and you're how old?

[She's going to need some ice for that severe bruising to her ego there, Obito.]

I'm gonna be fourteen is just a few weeks! I made Chuunin shortly after my birthday when I was eleven~. Why're you mad?

We weren't even allowed to test out of the Academy until twelve!

[Not that she would have been able to until then, probably, but Neji definitely could have, which means they must have not allowed people!]

That's not fair, I'm fourteen now, and I just took the Chuunin exams!

[And yes, she's still sore about having lost to Temari and about Lee having to give up being a ninja due to those exams. Bad subject choice.]

Er... I was out of the Academy at -nine- and Kakashi just got made a jounin so I don't even know what to tell you what with us all being thirteen and all.

[Have a sheepish smile.] But hey, you're older than me!

Ah... Tenten, you're going to upset Feng. [ he's just going to place a hand on her shoulder lightly. come on Feng, back him up. ]

[She snarls a little, but the warning hiss of the Skarmory behind them flexing his wings is far louder. Something the smaller boy was doing was upsetting his trainer, and he was able to lunge.

Instead, she turns and puts on a hand on the bird's beak, trying to soothe him.]

Yeah... you're right, Joonhee-niisan, sorry. [She glares back over her shoulder at Obito.] Later, I'm going to spar with you. No Pokémon, no weapons. Just taijutsu.

What? Why? I didn't do anything! Gah you're cranky!

[He huffed, then shook his head, turning to go fuss over his two male pokemon.]

Actually. [ he thinks fighting (or sparring or whatever) wouldn't accomplish much but he doesn't think saying that would do much good. ]

I was thinking of letting Doraji out and giving her and Yoonjae a chance to exercise a bit. I was hoping you'd come with me since Yoonjae and Doraji are a bit more delicate than Feng, just in case something happens. [ have a distraction. is it too obvious? ]

I thought it'd be a good chance to help all of them get along better too. Maybe Obito you could come too, it can be a chance for the babies to get used to each other. [ and help you two get along better. ]

[She has her mouth open to protest further or issue another challenge when Joonhee speaks, then she puffs out her cheek in almost a pout. No way would she turn down a request from him after she'd just said all that stuff about helping him out!]

This isn't over, [she promises Obito before giving Yoonjae a smile. It takes another moment before Feng settles back down, giving Obito the glare that Tenten didn't bother to.]

But yeah, it'll be good for Kama to get out some, too. He seemed pretty restless the last time I did, after all... [She narrowed her eyes at Obito, then shrugged.] Yeah, sure, you should come too. Get them used to other Pokémon.
