[The video clicks on to a majestic view with... a whole lot of water, and sky, and they're flying and he's the only one visible.]

[The video clicked off a moment later, with him already fumbling with the settings.]

Locked part: Entire Cianwood travel party.
Okay guys I'm SO SORRY! We're kinds sorta almost to Goldenrod now! Um. We'll be back later! I PROMISE! [That's all of it before he clicks the feed off, wind blowing past him.]

Action Part: In flight to landing in Goldenrod.
Sasuke, do you have another flier on you if we need to switch out? Or if Evan needs to switch out?

Well there you go. You know you're not alone now, right? [He looked up at him, giving him a wry smile.]

You'll never stop being my favorite relative, so if you ever need anything, don't be afraid to ask me, okay? I'll come. I'm sorry I left you without anyone to lean on when I died though, that couldn't have been good to you.

It's not quite the same. [Things are different here.]

I had Shisui, and then Sasuke. [Lost Shisui and couldn't tell Sasuke though. Basically it was hell.]

It doesn't have to be the same. You're falling into a dangerous situation, and I want you to know you're not alone from the start.

[He freed a hand, reaching up to poke him on the nose.] Got it? Shisui was too close to your age to really be support, and Sasuke was born after I died, so that's not the same at all. That's you supporting him. I may be younger now but you're still my baby cousin, no matter how big you got. Got it?

I didn't fall into anything. [He was put there - woke up there and everyone had spread his secrets. So Itachi was going along with it.]

[Did he just--? Seriously? Have a hair ruffle in return.] There are still things you don't know.

[Things Sasuke doesn't know (that he knows of). But it's not a 'no'.]

Yeah, you did. Guy in the Rockets has it out for anyone who identifies themselves as a shinobi, which means you'll be in his line of fire. Judging where you started... you'll probably end up meeting the guy sooner than later. His name is Bowser, and his dearest wish is to do bad things to Sasuke and anyone around him. Tsunade made it worse, trying to draw fire and instead telling him how to pick us shinobi out more effectively. Better you actually have warning about that, right?

[He moved his hand to the one on his head, resting it there with a wry smile.] I'm sure there's a lot I don't know, but it wouldn't change how I view you, cause you're my favorite cousin, and you'll always be the one I love best, no matter what life did to you.

I'm aware. [He took a little peek into things before posting.] My hitae-ai isn't here but it hardly matters considering my last name. In a week's time I'll be able to leave here and disappear. [Itachi's good at that.]

Thank you. [And he means it.]

Good. I didn't want to leave you at loose ends if no one bothered to tell you about it. [There was a moment of pause.]

You never need to thank me Itachi, it just is what it is.

They didn't. I took it upon myself to investigate. [He figured a few might be unwilling to share with him.]

[He waved it off.] Same difference. I'm glad you found out. I mean, I'd hate for you to get ambushed, because that suuuucks.

[He put his hand back on Itachi's. Clearly he found this an acceptable affectionate gesture, having their hands stacked on his head.]

You're not gonna up and fall out of touch, right? I can show you how to lock down your messages and stuff if you need me to.

As if I'd let myself be ambushed.

[Light teasing and another headrub.]

No. I won't. [He simply plans on being on the move a lot.] That is something I've got under control.

Okay good. And come find us from time to time! Get the badge and HM so you can fly out and meet us okay? I will so not be happy if you don't come see us from time to time.

[He leaned up, holding his gaze intently.] Cause, how old are you?

I'll be sure to stop by once in a while. [He'll call Obito ahead of time.]

[Blinks for a moment.] Twenty-one.

So I have seventeen years of hugs I owe you. [Have a sage nod Itachi, then another proper hug.]

That's not necessary. [This time he doesn't return the hug.]

So? What's that got to do with anything? You growing up doesn't make you NOT my baby cousin.

[He's getting that look on his face, you know, that one that says he's about to dig in his heels and never let you win the argument no matter how much logic you use at it.]

And I owe you every hug you would've gotten if I hadn't died, got it? Which is like, a bajillion.

[That is definitely a look that he remembers. Hard to forget really.]

I'm older than you now. [A resigned sigh accompanies his words.] Not a baby.

[Not budging there either. Nope.]

So you grew up. Bound to happen. I still carried you around when you were a baby. So. Baby cousin.

[Says the kid who's still growing. Obito, you reputation ruiner.]

[He finally removes his hand from Obito's head. It's hard to be mad at someone who's been dead for years.]

Go on, get out of here before someone from Rocket catches you. I'll call you when I leave Goldenrod.

[He caught him up in another tight hug.]

Keep safe Itachi. [Then he finally backed off, getting out his gear to check if there was anyone he should check in on while he was here as he finally padded away.]

[This time he watches the other Uchiha walk away. If he didn't and suddenly Obito was gone then Itachi would regret it. He won't turn away until he can't see the other.]

[Aaaaagh he was so stupid sometimes! He'd closed up his gear before it had occurred to him that Itachi wouldn't be armed. How could he even THINK not to arm him? He was the one who told him to always keep a kunai on him at all times and then he forgets. What kind of role model did that even make him? He ran on light feet, catching up as Itachi made to leave.]

Wait! I forgot something!

[Obito coming back was certainly unexpected, especially when he was sure that the other had gone a good distance. But at the voice, Itachi turns back toward him.]

What is it?

[He gave a quick scan of their surroundings to make sure that nobody was around, then pulled a deep blue blade, flipping it in his fingers so he was holding the blade end and holding it out at him.]

Bladed weapons are crazy illegal here, but blunt weapons are okay. So just take this. I have three left after this so I'll be okay.

[Ah, looked as though he wouldn't have to arm himself so soon after all. Another boy had suggested that people had to get creative with their weapons in this place. A pass of his hand and the blade is gone into the confines of his cloak.]

I'll return it when I have a weapon of my own. [Because he's sure Obito would give away all of his blades if he needed too.]
