Second Kunai: [Video/Action Cherrygrove]

[Unlike last time he sent a message out over the network, there was no clatter. Then again, Obito was also clearly not the one holding the gear, which was rather low to the ground, the image half obscured by a bright green leaf. And there was shouting.]

Katon no! He didn't mean it! Cabbage! GUYS STOP!

[There is a dizzying moment as the gear is spun around, and the image is cleared of greenery, though it's wiggling a bit like the one holding it is laughing. Obito, holding a baby Charmander in one arm, is between his Ponyta and Deerling who look rather like they want to take a bite out of one another.]

This is way uncool! I -know- you two can get along. Is it Kiyo? [The baby charmander, who had a pretty impressive looking grip on his shirt, was lifted a little.] You were cool until Kiyo hatched Cabbage! Kinda. Okay maybe not so much, but you were learning to get on with Katon just fine!

And where's the other one..? Hyorogan! What're you doing with my gear? Wait!

[Thus, with the video still on, you finally get to see the baby Petilil as she makes a run for it with Obito's gear in hand, giggling all the way.]

[ Joonhee was trailing behind a bit, keeping a safe distance from the uh...agitated pokémon but seeing Tenten talk to Obito he catches up. ]

Wow. [ it looks even crazier up close. ]

This is your friend? [ all the action is making Yoonjae a bit restless and she's starting to squirm in Joonhee's arms. ]

Shhh...calm down. No fighting, okay? [ he pets her lightly to try to soothe her...thankfully she listens mostly. ]

I don't think I'd call him a friend...

[She lets out a yelp of surprise and ducked reflexively as Feng opens his mouth and all but roars at the Ponyta, spreading his wings in an attempt to look (even more) intimidating.]

Gah! Feng! Do that again and you're going right back in the ball!

[Katon looked rather alarmed and suddenly standing nearby was much much warmer.]

What? GAH! Katon it's okay buddy, really! [Gear wrestled away from Hyorogan, he set her on Cabbage, who looked far calmer now, and hurried over to pet the ponyta to settle him down, not even holding onto Kiyo anymore, who stayed firmly attached to his clothes.]

It's been a little hectic this morning since I got in.

[ oh dear. this is probably not the craziest thing he's seen but it's a bit worrying. he'll just put himself between Tenten and the ponyta (well more like between skarmory and the ponyta) just in case they get more worked up. at the very least it seems like skarmory is used to him enough to not attack him. he can hope stepping between them will deter some of the aggressive behaviour. ]

I think you might want to put one or two back into their ball for now.

[ just a gentle suggestion, you know before there's a pokémon brawl. ]

He'll behave.

[Tenten juts her jaw out stubbornly and knocks her knuckles against the metal bird's body. It takes a moment, but Feng finally settles down behind her and folds his wings with a discontented sound, seeming more content now that Joonhee's separating his trainer from the strange other Pokémon.

Instead, she turns a rather unimpressed eye on the Uchiha male.]

So you're Uchiha Obito-kun, huh? What happened here? [She nods to the other Pokémon.]

Katon and Cabbage had a bit of a tiff after Hyorogan hatched like -right- after Rin went out the door and Kiyo... I haven't been able to put her down since yesterday. The second I do she gets really upset so... [He waved at his chest.] I've just been letting her hang on to her heart's content.

[ so this is the pokémon version of second child syndrome? Yoonjae is staring at the one dangling from Obito with...her usual look but she seems calm enough now that no one else is screaming battle cries or anything. ]

Maybe they're just overwhelmed that there are so many of them suddenly. It's not easy being part of a big family...

[Tenten makes a bit of a guilty face at Joonhee's comment -- she hadn't even thought that it might be difficult for Pokémon, and here she was with four eggs hatching soon!

Also who names a battle-animal Cabbage?]

Right... Anyway, this is my friend, Joonhee-niisan. And this guy? [She still doesn't look unimpressed as she looks to the other ninja.] This guy's apparently from my village and the Uchiha clan. This's the guy who told me he's dead.

Hi Joonhee-san! And I am. Was. However that works. [Katon finally seemed calm again, and Obito leaned on him as he petted the baby clinging to him.] You can just call me Obito if you want.

[ give him a second, he's a bit surprised by how Tenten introduced him. not really something he's used to hearing having hung around mainly same aged friends and having buckets of older sisters. oh and then the sort of dead thing. so many things to hurt his brain. ]

Nice to meet you. [ it's a bit of a dazed greeting but he does still automatically bow a bit. ]

I'm...glad you're so energetic? [ who knows what being once dead does. he sure as hell doesn't. ]

Yeah, you're nothing like Sasuke-kun at all.

[She puts a hand on her hip and gives Feng a warning glare, then stepped forward to extend a hand palm-up to the Ponyta, trying to at least make peace. Feng rumbled a little unhappily, but didn't try to lunge again.]

Has Sasuke-kun already talked to you about the dangerous guys here we're gonna have to watch out for, Obito-kun?

Eh? Not a word. Then again he hasn't really gotten back to me yet either so...

[Katon seemed amenable enough, mouthing her palm with a happy noise.]

You can make direct calls with the pokégear, can't you? If you have other companions you need to meet up with maybe you can contact them that way.

[ he's hanging back with Feng and Yoonjae, just letting you two figure things out unless he has something to add. ]

[She can't help but laugh a little at the tickling sensation to her palm, shifting to rub its nose with her fingers. A glance to Joonhee as she nods.]

Yeah, you can... problem is, Sasuke-kun's busy doing some kind of mission that he couldn't talk about, so I didn't want to risk contacting him.

You though, you should be careful. [She looks to Obito this time.] There's this guy called Bowser. Apparently Sasuke-kun did something to make him mad, and he's been known to go after Sasuke-kun's friends. How's your taijutsu? 'Cause that's about all we've got, here.

[And again, to Joonhee.]

I'm not sure if this guy'd associate you with me, but you should be okay, Joonhee-niisan.

Not terrible, but my Ninjutsu was always my best bet. Well, other than being able to run like, forever. Loooots of stamina training to keep up with Sensei. Then again with his reputation we seriously needed it.

[He looked to Joonhee.]

What she said. He didn't mention the mission to me, but I assumed if he wasn't contacting me, that it wouldn't be good for me to poke at him.

I see. [ for a place that's inhabited by mascot characters it sure is serious. ]

Ah...you really don't have to worry so much about me. Even if I can't fight I can run if things seem off. Besides, I have Yoonjae with me. [ he's trying his best not to offend her more than anything since she seems pretty proud of her...power. ]

Well if nothing else we can use the time until your friend contacts you to earn some money for traveling. Before setting off again I think it'd be good to get some proper supplies. [ like a tent. maybe two. food, flashlight, first aid kit... the list goes on. ]

[It's only serious because Sasuke went and did what he does best, which is piss people off.]

Well, like I said, I'll protect you. So you'll have time to run, at least. And once we get some supplies, I can give you your coat back, too.

[She's kind of accepted that her self-proclaimed big brother was going to be a civilian through-and-through despite her best efforts, but as long as he didn't go running right into danger, he should be alright~ She pulls away from the Ponyta to try to give Yoonjae a quick pet, too.]

I might not have the stamina that my teammates do, but I'm the fastest kunoichi of my generation. They don't call us the best taijutsu team for nothing. [A hand on her hip as she grins again.] I could train you, Obito-kun~

Train -with- me you mean? I don't need to be trained you know, I had the best teacher ever after all.

[ good thing he's not someone that's terribly sensitive to manly pride issues but it's still a bit embarrassing to hear it. ]

You shouldn't have to...but I appreciate it. [ he realises he'll probably slow them down if he does end up traveling with them but that's something to worry about when there are actual plans. for now he'll just keep quiet on that. ]

I think you guys might have your hands full training pokémon for a while though. [ he has not forgotten about all the babies and eggs, kind of hard to. Yoonjae turns to stare at Tenten but doesn't otherwise react to the petting. ]

Mmhm! [She doesn't see anything all that embarrassing about it; after all, she's a ninja. It's her job to protect civilians~

She does give the Pokémon another glance and laughs kind of sheepishly.]

Yeah, sure, we'll see how your taijutsu is against mine. But all these Pokémon... is it really this hard to keep track of them all when they hatch like this...?

Eh? It's not hard to keep track of them at all! [Obito leaned down to capture his Petilil before she could jump on Tenten, tucking her under his arm. It was a show that in spite of things, he -did- have a nin's reflexes.]

It's just like having a summons, that's all. Just... lots. I'll be fine if Katon and Cabbage just stop bickering. I got Cabbage off a guy who was passing through last week you see and he's still not used to me.

[ Yoonjae is now staring at the petilil now, she seems to have a thing for small grass types. a thing for bullying them. ]

No. [ Joonhee has gotten used to it by now so he keeps a firm hold of his natu. ]

Do you have anymore eggs that are going to hatch soon?

[When the little Petilil looks like it's going to lunge, one of Tenten's chopsticks is immediately in hand, and there go Skarmory's wings again, hissing like a raptor and clearly trying to tell that boy trainer to control his Pokémon.]

Feng, no, it's okay. Calm down... I don't know about you, but my summons are only weapons. Not living ones.

[Finally she returns her attention to her own Skarmory and slips the chopstick away again, carefully stroking her fingers along a razor-sharp wing with clear affection to try to calm him back down. About the eggs, she stays silent and just listens. If this guy was having enough trouble with his, what was she going to do with four...?]

Eh? Uchiha family has cat summons. Kinda like the Hatake dogs. I have another egg hatching in a few days, then another due at the start of next week, and another in a bit less than a month. I probably won't be able to resist if more I want come up before then though.

[He tightened his hold on the Petilil when she squirmed and made and unhappy noise. Which was promptly rebuked by the Charmander responding with one of her own.]

[ there might be a hint of disbelief in Joonhee's expression. he isn't even sure about taking care of two fairly low maintenance pokémon, it baffles him how someone can so quickly amass that many eggs. ]

Well...I just got here so I'm not sure how raising these pokémon works but maybe you should consider waiting a bit before getting more. Since we can only travel with six of them at a time if you have so many won't it be hard to train all of them properly?

And if you can't pay attention to them individually it doesn't seem fair to them either.
