[The first thing that everyone hears as the connection turns on is a rather loud, painful sounding clatter which indicated that the Pokédex had just made a rather abrupt acquaintance with the ground.]

Ah crap. Sorry! Sorry everyone! [The picture resolves itself at this point into a rather sheepish looking teenager, who is turning the device this way and that, clearly trying to determine which way was up.] I'm kinda new here and haven't gotten used to all the new technical stuff that this place seems to have. This thing is pretty sleek though right? Even if the road is pretty, well, snowy. And cold. But hey, I have Katon so it's not like I'll freeze!

[There was a nearly upside down showing of his Ponyta at this point before he finally settled on an angle, which thankfully seemed to be right way up as the camera focused on him again.] Anyway, I just wanted to give an all call and a hello to everyone out there and ask a rather uh, specialized question.

Only a few of you might get what I'm getting at here but, um, did anyone else seriously fail the whole climbing ledges class after getting here that I could have sworn that I'd passed when I was seven? I mean, I got down fine but... serious issues getting back up.

Like, really serious issues.

Does your family transform? Every Pokémon has unique abilities and strengths. Dittos can only transform, but they can do anything the creature they replicate does.

Nah, my family have special eyes that can copy anything we see. When we can get them to work anyway. I had mine... a day. It sucked hardcore.

Sounds rough. All of my fighting capabilities are borrowed except one, but they're all from the same person.

I learned everything I know the hard way! Just like any good shinobi -should- but... I would have been -awesome- with the eyes because Uchiha are awesome and I'm an Uchiha.

Hard-earned skills are more meaningful than those that come easy, seems to me.

So if you're already awesome, and having that power would be awesome, would the result be awesome squared?

Entirely doable. This world's a big place, there must be a lot of things to try your hand at.

This world's a friendly one, I can say that from experience. I bet you'll make a lot of friends.

I'll try and find out if a few of the people I knew are still here, to see how they're doing. The girl I traveled with before doesn't seem to be in this world.

Nobody really comes to mind right off, but who knows, we might think of someone! [Not being shrugged off was kind of awesome. And new, so he just stuck like that. It was cold anyway and Rin was walking on the other side of him from Katon so he was probably chilly. Or so he was telling himself.]

[He'd just give the funniest look if anybody suggested shrugging someone off like that, but as no one has, he simply keeps pace beside Obito]

Never know, new people show up all the time. For now, where do you want to head? Cherrygrove's the next town, and Violet after that...

Might as well go about through those towns then right? I'm sure we'll find somewhere pretty awesome if we just keep our eyes peeled. And we'll need to get more critters too if we're gonna be awesome breeders, but hey, at least we have two between us right?

[He nods]

Right. I think there's a place that sells eggs here too, I got one last time. New people like us can even get something free, if I remember correctly.

[Tugs his gear from his pocket and looks for where that was]

Pretty sure Ditto can breed with practically anything as well...

[He blinked and looked over his shoulder to see what he was doing.] So you know where we're going then? Cause free stuff is usually good stuff...

Yeah, I did a decent amount of traveling. [Toggles through a few results and then pauses at this] Here it is. If there's something you want, we could pick them up in Cherrygrove. There's a system to send the eggs to most of the towns.

[Long moment of staring at the list goes here.] Ohhhhh there's a dragon! Charmander is what they're calling it. You think they'll still have it by the time we get there?

Those get pretty big and strong, they're a good choice. I'm confident eggs'd be there by the time we hit down, it's a quick process.

What'd you decide to pick? I seem to have a theme going but you have the anti-theme.

Anti-theme? Well, I thought I'd go with Eevee - it starts as a Normal type but it can change into one of several different types.
